Sakura Matsuri (Cherry Blossom Celebration) Performances!
Hello friends of 10tecomai!
I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this warm weather so far. We’ve had some hot and enjoyable performances in the past month including the First Shochu and Awamori Tasting Contest at the Kitano hotel, the Annual NYC Travel Show representing Japan at the Jacob Javits Convention Center and just last week the Sunrise Fest in Brooklyn commemorating the Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan on March 11.
With Sakura Matsuri (Cherry Blossom Celebration) season just around the corner, you can start to see the beautiful Sakura trees already in bloom. With this come some great events and celebrations showcasing all the best Japan has to offer. 10tecomai is happy to be participating in several events this season.

Japanese Yosakoi Dance Workshop in NYC!!
Many people have asked 10tecomai if we ever have classes to our Yosakoi dances.
We are proud to say YES we will now start teaching our dances...
Our first workshop is in teaching the most popular Yosakoi Piece, "SORAN BUSHI".
It promises to be a lot of fun with a lot of energy.
Just the thing to warm up your bodies in this cool fall season!!
Heres the information:
JAPANESE YOSAKOI WORKSHOP!!
We will be having 2 Workshops to teach Soran Bushi to everyone and
get everyone into the Yosakoi Spirit!!
November 13th and November 20th

Time 2pm-4pm

A Letter...
On March 11th 2011 the heart of Japan was broken for a moment
as the largest earthquake in Japanese history hit just off the
northern area of Japan. The resulting Tsunami caused untold damage and many many deaths.
We at 10tecomai mourn for the loss of life in Japan
as well as go out to the hearts of those who had been affected.
In the following days, we had performed in some fund raisers in
NYC to help in any way we can the victims of this tragedy.
As a yosakoi group we continue to perform to show our
positive energy, to share it with those who come to watch and
support not only us but to the Japanese culture.
To show everyone why Japanese and this style of dance is so special.

One of our friends Rie is Director of an entertainment company that is promoting cultural
understanding through the performing arts.
This Friday her group *IiNFiNiTY" will be bringing a very popular Yosakoi Team form Japan
named "Sasso Japan" to teach New York City their style of Japanese Yosakoi.

2313 7th Ave, New York, NY [Adam Clayton (7ave) bet. 135&136st]
Take 2/3 train to 135st station
Tickets are 15$ / free for under 18

Secondly, on Sunday the 10th, 10tecomai will be performing at the "Japan Block Fair" in
Manhattan on 94th and Broadway (two shows between 1-3pm)!!
